Casa Soba AR
For Casa Soba, a Punta del Este, Uruguay family business founded in 1955, we created an Augmented Reality configurator that accelerates the pre-sales journey for awnings and enclosures.
Project description
Casa Soba is a family business founded on November 19, 1955 by Carlos Soba Iriarte and Margarita Langellotti. With nearly seven decades of experience in Punta del Este, Uruguay, the company manufactures and installs awnings, enclosures, curtains and textile solutions that protect and transform spaces. For an awning company, each project begins well before installation: with a conversation to understand the space, visualize the outcome, define materials and gather the information needed to prepare a quote.
With that challenge in mind, we developed Casa Soba AR App, an experience that transforms this first commercial stage into a more visual, agile and structured process.
The solution was designed to improve the customer experience before purchase, helping customers better understand the available options while making it easier to collect the information needed for each project. At the same time, it automates quotation generation and email delivery, reducing manual tasks for the sales team and speeding up response times.
From a mobile device, customers can choose from eight awning and enclosure lines, take an approximate measurement of the opening and preview a 3D model in Augmented Reality in their own space. They can then customize fabric, color, frame and extension based on the product, capture up to three photos of the proposal and submit an estimate request to the sales team.
The app automates pre-sales tasks that often require manual back-and-forth: it guides product selection, gathers visual context, standardizes configured options and gives the team a better-prepared request to continue the advisory process. It does not replace Casa Soba’s technical assessment; it accelerates it with clearer information from the first contact.
Advantages
- Brings the catalogue into the customer’s real space before a visit or installation.
- Helps customers visualize product, color and finishing alternatives with greater confidence.
- Reduces friction in the initial estimating stage by centralizing selection, approximate measurements and photos.
- Supports a more consistent pre-sales process and a better-informed sales conversation.
- Improves the user experience before purchase by letting customers explore the solution in their own space.
- Automates quotation generation from the options selected by the customer.
- Sends the request and estimate by email, reducing repetitive tasks and coordination time.
- Gives the sales team more complete information to continue the advisory process.
